What is the Big Horse Challenge?
The Big Horse Challenge is a three-day event, including running and obstacles, designed to challenge your physical and mental strength as well as invite you into the daily life of Haitian culture. The Big Horse Challenge unites people through physical challenges in order to support the mission of Cornerstone Church Haiti, Big Horse Farms and Cornerstone School of Truth.
The Big Horse Challenge features two main events: a Half Marathon or 8 Mile Run, and a full-day obstacle event.
The race course follows a gravel road hidden in the forests near Gwo Cheval, Haiti. The course features energetic terrain that is guaranteed to drag you out of your comfort zone. Throughout the 1275ft ascent (715ft for 8M) you will encounter rock, dirt, grass, mud, mountains, as well as many cows and donkeys.
The obstacles are inspired by the hard-working, not afraid to get dirty, smart and strong Haitians of Gwo Cheval. So, come with some mental grit, creative problem solving, and a cheerful attitude.
This year’s event will raise funds for solar power at Cornerstone School of Truth.
As it is said throughout Gwo Cheval, Let’s Make Sport.
Event dates
February 14th-17th, 2018
