Cornerstone haiti

Cornerstone Haiti is a mission birthed from Cornerstone Church International Ministries (CCIM). The founders of CCIM began leading short-term trips to Haiti after the major earthquake in 2010. From those short-term trips, miraculous connections were made with different Haitian pastors who eventually took teams to the area of Foret des Pins. These trips then lead to establishing a relationship with Pastor Markes Ulysse of Gwo Cheval. God connected Jesse and Kirsten Lancour with Pastor Markes and his church in such a way that led to establishing Cornerstone Haiti in the mountain village of Gwo Cheval.

Lancours' story

Since the day they were made completely new in Christ, Jesse & Kirsten have had the desire in their hearts to move to another country and live among the poor of the world. Not knowing exactly what that call from God entailed, they gave their lives wholeheartedly to love God with all they had right where they were. Jesse was studying at UW-Milwaukee to become an engineer and Kirsten was at Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois studying to be a nurse when Jesus got a hold of their entire lives.

In 2010 Jesse joined staff with Cornerstone Church Milwaukee and began preparing to be a missionary to Haiti. In the summer of 2011, after Kirsten graduated, she moved with family near Milwaukee, found Cornerstone Church Milwaukee and quickly became a member. After a mission trip to Haiti with Cornerstone Church in March of 2012, Kirsten was confident that the Lord was sending her to be a full time missionary in Haiti as well.

God had been preparing their hearts individually for Himself and for each other throughout this whole time. When Jesse got enough confirmation from God, he asked Kirsten to be in a relationship with him in November of 2012. They got married the following May and moved to Haiti in October of 2013.
